Each year BPI participates in a variety of local community projects in line with its commitment to contributing to the communities within which it operates.  One such example was the company’s participation at a languages initiative recently organised by Inverclyde Academy in Greenock.  The object of the event was to highlight the importance of languages in modern life, including their significance in the workplace.

The Annual General Meeting of British Polythene Industries PLC (“the Company”) was held on 9 May 2013 at 12 noon. All resolutions were passed with voting on a show of hands.

A forklift truck driver from leading manufacturer of industrial packaging, bpi.visqueen reached the RTITB Operator of the Year heats held at IMHX 2013.  Robert Watson, who works at the bpi.visqueen Ardeer factory, beat hundreds of other accredited operators to reach the competition heats.  Robert was hoping to repeat his success of 2011 when he was crowned Scottish Champion and represented Scotland at the RTITB Operator of the Year final.
