The following specification has been developed by bpi.recycled products so that we can gain maximum utilisation from the material supplied to us. This specification will help you in determining the acceptability for recycling of waste arisings.

Material Specification
Acceptable waste needs to be generally low density polyethylene or linear low density polyethylene material (typically shrink and stretch film, some packaging and bags). Medium and high density polyethylene is also acceptable.

The material is accepted in most forms including bales and reels. Rigid sections may need some form of size reduction. Factors affecting the value of otherwise acceptable waste are: degree of soiling, moisture content, degree of print on the material, colour of material. Waste which is dry, baled, uncoloured, clean, heavy duty shrink films tends to attract greatest value. Pallets, cardboard, crates and cores will be deducted from load weights. Some paper contamination is acceptable.

Collection Service
We can offer the provision of a collection service throughout the UK, which can feed into any one of 6 accredited reprocessing sites.
